Where I’ve Been

It’s been a while since I posted that Thief Moon was ready for the world, and I owe you an update.

The short version is that I’ve had a lot of health problems keeping me down. Some days the plan was simply to get through the day, and the blog was not part of that plan. I’m sorry for the silence. I didn’t want to post something thin just to say I’d posted.

Here’s the strange part. I kept writing. Somehow, in the middle of all of it, the words kept coming, and in the last three weeks I finished a 123,000-word novel. I’m not sure how that happened. I think the story gave me somewhere to be when everything else was hard, and I’m grateful for it.

I’m not telling you this to ask for sympathy. I wanted you to know that I’m still here, still writing, and still planning to give you more books. I’m also working at a pace my body can handle, which means I may be slower to show up online than I’d like.

The book is called Quiet Enjoyment. It’s a dark gothic sapphic romance about a witch, a vampire, and a house, and I can’t wait to tell you about it. That post is coming next.
